• Love’s Philosophy by Percy Bysshe Shelley

    The fountains mingle with the river
       And the rivers with the ocean,
    The winds of heaven mix for ever
       With a sweet emotion;
    Nothing in the world is single;
       All things by a law divine
    In one spirit meet and mingle.
       Why not I with thine?—

    See the mountains kiss high heaven
       And the waves clasp one another;
    No sister-flower would be forgiven
       If it disdained its brother;
    And the sunlight clasps the earth
       And the moonbeams kiss the sea:
    What is all this sweet work worth
       If thou kiss not me?

  • My Favorite Ultimate Preppy Band

    Haircut 100. This song Favorite Shirt (Boy Meets Girl) is perhaps my favorite song from their album, as well as a close second to Love Plus One.

    I’m sharing this band with you as part of my record album vintage collection. This was 1981 and it’s hard to believe how simple and fun this song is compared to some of today’s standards. Also, I’m a huge fan of the trumpet, saxophone, and those conga drums. 🙂

    Have a listen and tell me what you think.

    Enjoy!

  • Seine River – IamDayLight

    What happens when you run out of ideas?

    Me? I go straight to music.

    I’m always searching for music that will have a profound emotional influence on me. There are moments when you need to let your imagination run wild. Especially when your well runs dry…or so they say.

    I don’t remember when I first discovered this song? I know it was on the internet. Somewhere. Somehow.

    Tell me what you think of it. What thoughts come to mind? Do you dream of Bali? Intergalactic space? Snow? A loved one? I’m curious.

    xx,
