I’ve been kind of quiet, but here’s what I’m currently up to:
Healthy Eating: This year I’m changing my eating habits. It has nothing to do with weight. I’m 5’3.5 ” tall and 114 lbs and I feel comfortable with my body. My goal is to eat healthier, and focus on energy.
Gone are the cupcakes. Yes, I’m a recovering cupcake addict. That was difficult to get over, and I went cold turkey on this. Instead, I replaced it with fruit.
I don’t eat red meat, but instead opt for poultry, fish like salmon and cod, and heavy on the greens. I have never had alcohol or coffee and I avoid soda as much as possible. One thing that hasn’t changed and I’m still trying to work on this, is that I don’t eat breakfast. I really have to work hard on this one. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.Bullet Journaling: I recently discovered this and I’m not really familiar with all that it entails. I’ve been observing others and managed to watch a few helpful tutorials. This website is great if you’re interested in learning. My goal with bullet journaling is to focus on my goals as well as recording my work day to see where my time seems disorganized. I would also like to document my week better, so hopefully this will help.
Travel: I have a few trips planned in the upcoming months and one of them is a flight. Did I ever share with you that I hate flying? I’ll be honest, I’m nervous about flying. It doesn’t matter where I sit because I’ve been in first class and I’ve also been seated far, far away in the back…like the last seat right next to the restroom, so it’s not the seating arrangement. It’s all about plummeting to the ground from 35,000 feet. That’s it. The other travel goal is a hiking and (hopefully) climbing trip. I haven’t gone rappelling off a mountain for so long. Hopefully the weather will be great. Yeah, I know, how can I handle plummeting off the side of a cliff, but I can’t from the sky?? I don’t know???
Reading: I’m currently reading Chase The Lion: If Your Dream Doesn’t Scare You, It’s Too Small by Mark Batterson. It was recommended to me by a friend.
Writing: I printed this cool Henry Miller’s Commandments of Writing and taped it onto my office wall. Courtesy of Brainpickings.org
Well, that’s pretty much it for now. I hope you have a great day!
