I’m back from a week of travel and it feels good to be home and settled back in. I have a lot of catching up to do with revisions, and some deadlines I put on myself. I’m committed to meeting my goals and one of them is to revise my query letter. I did a lot of it before I left last week, but now I’ve been slow at getting back into actually revising it. So, hopefully with this deadline I put on myself, my new query letter will be ready to submit again to agents.
In case you are wondering, my current (WIP) work in progress is a Young Adult novel about a fragile girl’s forbidden love of a handsome young man, whose family’s wealth and power drive her to the brink of heartbreak and madness. It’s a love story that I have been keeping inside my head for the last five years. Yes, five years. I don’t know why I waited so long, do you? Maybe it’s because I just didn’t think of myself as a writer, but now that I’ve had my feet in the door with various ebooks and blogging for others (incognito), I love it! I love writing! I may not be great at it, but I’m writing and enjoying the process!
